My journey in the scientific world began as an eager school student participating in various chemistry Olympiads. After emerging victorious at the 35th International Chemistry Olympiad in 2003, I was inspired to further my education at the University of Cambridge, one of Europe’s top universities.
Invaluable Experience: Industry and Academia
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with industry giants like GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer, Merck, and AstraZeneca, and academic institutions such as LMU Munich and Georg-August-University. These experiences allowed me to dive deep into organometallic chemistry, project management, quality control, and much more.
Diverse Roles: From Researcher to Consultant
Whether managing an R&D team for plastic packaging and hot melt adhesives in Europe or working on nanomaterial-based biosensors in the US, I’ve always enjoyed pushing the frontiers of scientific knowledge.
The Leap into Scientific Editing
In 2015, I found my calling as a freelance scientific editor at Cactus Communications. Here, I’ve been assisting Asian authors in preparing their manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed international journals. To date, I have edited 2500 manuscripts and have been chosen as a favorite editor by 120 clients.
